Films:
Bombshell - I had never heard of the scandal at the time, and I didn't know anything about the film before watching it, although I know the women who were involved in it.
Green Book - So good
Promised Land (1987) -
12 Angry Men - Great film. I would like to see the original now.
Holland - I enjoyed it.
Call Me By Your Name - Beautiful film, from cinematography, plot, and acting.
Eden - Crazy storyline, crazier since it's based on true events.
The Tender Bar - Second screening, and it was as sweet and heartwarming as I remembered it. I adore this movie.
A Million Little Pieces - Beautiful cinematography. I had never heard of the film, and it was one of the best films I have seen in 2025. Apparently, based on a true story. The guy wrote a book, but it seems he largely exaggerated some of the details (yeah, the whole pulling teeth out scene definitely rang alarm bells for me; I still like the film).
Palm Springs – I watched this film for a second time this year; I recalled that I thought it was super funny when I first watched it, and it did not disappoint. This film is an unexpected little gem. Highly recommend
The Order
Series:
Nine Perfect Strangers (season 2) -
The Better Sister
Daisy Jones & The Six
Documentaries:
I mainly watch documentaries, so it would be a very long list to put on here. Here are a few that stood out and moved me:
A Band Called Death - So beautiful. It reminded me of Searching For Sugarman
